Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. aeraops.com uses a few essential cookies to work, and Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the banner. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
1. Essential cookies (always on)
These make the site work as you asked. The law allows them without consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| aera_locale | Remembers the language you chose | Up to 1 year |
| aera-cur | Remembers the currency you chose | 1 year |
| aera-cur-now | The currency the site is showing you, so prices match at checkout | 1 year |
| aera-geo | Your approximate country (from your IP address), to pick a currency. No precise location | 24 hours |
| aera_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or refused analytics cookies | 6 months |
| aera_admin | Keeps AERA staff signed in to the admin area (staff only) | 30 days |
| aera_portal_rail (local storage) | Client portal: remembers whether the side menu is open or closed | Until you clear it |
The site also uses your browser's session storage to show the opening animation only once per visit, and our hosting provider's bot protection on checkout. Neither is used to track you.
2. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you click Accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and buttons help people. IP addresses are anonymised, and we do not use Google's advertising features. If you click Decline, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells one browser from another (a random ID) | 13 months | |
| _ga_<ID> | Keeps the state of a visit | 13 months |
Google processes this data in the USA under its own terms; see our privacy policy.
3. Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time with the button below. Refusing removes the Google Analytics cookies we can reach and stops the script loading. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site (language, currency, sign-in) from working.
